The L’Arche Canada board met in October to review the request made by the L’Arche Agapè for $22,000 in this current fiscal year in order to pay a salary for the role of a development officer. L’Arche Canada has accepted to honour this exceptional grant request in full.
L'Arche Agapè received $22,000.00 from L’Arche Canada’s National Grant Program out of last year’s reserve for this purpose. This request falls well within the scope of the program in that it’s purpose is to help communities develop a new project for which there are no other obvious sources of funding. Communities and the regions have received a letter announcing that this year there is $50,000.00 available for the National Grant program that will be divided among the four regions.
