Ni pauvre ni soumis

Ni Pauvre, ni Soumis (Neither Poor, nor Submissive)

L’Arche Paris is readying itself to protest in the streets of Paris. Though there remains little in the capital of the demonstrations of Mai 68, the sentiments, in all actuality remain. The demonstration on Saturday March 29, has nothing to do though with the revolution, but it is a cry. A cry which the Federation of L’Arche in France has wanted to participate in, by joining ‘Ni Pauvre Ni soumis’(Neither Poor, nor Submissive), an initiative which L’Arche in Paris is proud to belong to. It is the first time L’Arche in France implicates itself in such a large project of its society.

The various associations brought together under the non-political umbrella of ‘NI PAUVRE NI SOUMIS’, are demanding decent living conditions, that is, a personal revenue equal to SMIC (legal minimum wage) for people who are unable or cannot work, regardless of their age or where they live (in their residence or placement).

On March 29, thousands of people with disabilities, impeded by poor health or work related accidents, are going to walk towards l'Elysée to denounce the poverty of which they have been victimized! L’Arche Paris, is thus joining the protestors and these varied and differing associations in an endeavour to present to our President the millions of signatures which have been collected.
