L'Arche Ottawa is recruiting an Assistant Coordinator

Wednesday November 9, 2016

For over 40 years, L’Arche Ottawa has brought to life the vision of Jean Vanier, where people with and without intellectual disabilities share life in community with a wide circle of family, friends, and neighbours. We provide supports for daily living, employment, and community participation. We help individuals with intellectual disabilities discover their gifts and abilities, and support them to achieve their goals for a meaningful life. L’Arche Ottawa is a community within the community working with others to build a world where everyone belongs.

The Assistants Coordinator is responsible for the orientation and ongoing needs and development of all Assistants/personnel in the community. S/he is an effective member of the Leadership Team and is actively involved in the ongoing needs of the community, focusing particularly on Assistants issues. S/he will work in accordance with the principles, values and philosophy outlined in the Charter of L’Arche, Mission Statement of L’Arche, and the L’Arche Canada Servant Leadership Model.
