L'Arche Daybreak is seeking a Support Worker

As a full-time Support Worker you will work in collaboration with other team members in providing appropriate support to the five individuals with an intellectual disability who live in the home by:

  • collaborating with other team members to support the physical, psychological and emotional well being of the person who receives supports;
  • accompanying  individuals to appointments, activities within the community, and other activities outside the home;
  • responding to each person’s individual needs by respectfully supporting them with daily living skills, personal hygiene, and where needed, administer medication.
  • encouraging each person to achieve the highest level of independence in personal care and relationships;
  • assisting each person in appropriate areas as agreed upon by the house team;
  • ensuring the home is safe, clean and inviting to all.
  • respecting the schedule and priorities outlined by the House Leader

This position is a 40 hour per week position and will include day, evening and weekend scheduling.  The specific days and times will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
