Summertime and the Livin' Is Easy!
Silas Donham

Like L'Archies all across Canada, Cape Bretoners have returned home after Communtiy Vacations, glad to be sleeping in our own beds and still telling the stories of the fun we had on vacation.  This year, our communtiy members travelled far and wide to Quebec, Newfoundland (east & west coasts), New Brunswick, and Antigonish.  We also had campers around Cape Breton, and some "stay-cation" folks as well.  We experienced the incredible hospitality of L'Arche communties in the Atlantic Region, as well as former assistants, and the families of many current communtiy members.  And we were happy to extend some hospitality of our own to visitors from L'Arche Saint John, Ottawa, and Hamilton.

At last night's Communtiy Night, we shared our photos and stories of vacation adventures.  There were lots of photos of beautiful sunsets, smiling faces, waves and whales and dolphins, some beer drinking, and even the occaisional wrestling match.  Despite the usual bumps (even vacation can't put us all in a good mood, all the time!) there was just a real feeling of gratitude for the opportunity to travel, relax, and enjoy one another on vacation.
