L’Arche Calgary is a member of a wider regional, national, and international circle of faith communities that creates homes, programs, and a community life with adults with developmental disabilities.
We are seeking a Director of Development to initiate, develop, and lead fundraising and communication strategies to promote and advance the mission of L’Arche Calgary.
Main Responsibilities:
*Create and implement a multi year fund development and communication plan
*Identify and develop relationships with corporate, community and individual donors
*Develop additional strategies to secure new financial resources
*Oversee the plan and execution of special fundraising events
*Prepare and submit grant applications and reports
*Lead the Development Team
*Work in collaboration with the L’Arche Calgary Board
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
*Conviction and ability to articulate and announce the vision and mission of L’Arche
*Proven ability to lead, develop and implement fundraising initiatives
*Demonstrated knowledge and skill in identifying and developing corporate, community and individual donors
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Minimum 5 years working experience in the field of fund development, preferably in the voluntary sector
*Undergraduate degree and certification in fund development and/or marketing
*Current membership in the Association of Fundraising Professionals
*Competence in Microsoft Office Suite and Internet access
