Passing Away of L'Arche Mauricie Founder

On August 2, 2010, Sr. Geneviève Papillon, o.s.u. (Sisters of the Visitation of Our Lady), died at the Ursuline Monastery in Trois-Rivières, Quebec.

Sr. Geneviève was 78, and had been a member of the religious order for 56 years. In addition to her fellow religious sisters and her immediate family, also grieving her loss is the entire community of L'Arche Mauricie, in particular the oldest of our Core Members: Gisèle, Diane, Françoise, claire, Josée, Linda, Marie-Josée, and Katy.

It is with great sadness that we learned of your departure, Geneviève, but we cherish your memory as a dynamic and welcoming woman, with a heart always full of love and hope. Although we will no longer see you physically at our community meetings, for us you will remain a spiritual member in the most beautiful sense of that term.
