New Community Leader Named for L'Arche Winnipeg

The L'Arche Winnipeg Community is delighted to announce the appointment of Jim Lapp as Community Leader effective January 1, 2010. 

Jim's association with L'Arche began in 1974 when he served two years as an Assistant at L'Arche Winnipeg. He then served for a year as an Assistant at L'Arche Stratford, Ontario. Jim has been a member of the L'Arche Winnipeg Board of Directors for fifteen years and has been President for the past four years. He recently participated in the 2009 National Mandate and Selection Committee.

Jim has a masters degree in Special Education and twenty seven years of experience in a variety of teaching assignments.

Jim's deep commitment to and love of L'Arche are a blessing to the Winnipeg Community. For this we are truly grateful.

We also take this opportunity to thank Dennis Butcher for his many years of good and faithful service to our community. We wish him a long and happy retirement.
