Marni Davis appointed as Acting Vice Regional Coordinator
Hollee Card and Pat Favaro
Posted 2011-11-02 14:44:22

This is to announce the appointment of Marni Davis as Acting Vice Regional Coordinator for the Western Canada Region.  Hollee appointed Marni following a process in the Region led by a selection committee.

Marni is a Confirmed Member of L'Arche Greater Vancouver.  Over the past 25 years she has carried a number of leadership roles at the local, regional, national and international levels.  We believe that Marni's gifts and experience will support the Region well during this time that Landys Klyne is on leave.

Many people were nominated in the selection process.  This is a good sign for the Region.  Leadership is emerging in different ways and this can give us hope for the future.  In this process, it was decided to name someone with extensive experience because of the interim nature of the appointment and the needs of the Region today.

Over the next weeks plans will be put in place to support L'Arche Greater Vancouver so that Marni can be freed to serve in the Region.  We anticipate that Marni will begin in the Region by the end of November.

Marni's appointment is until July 2012.  We all hope and pray for Landys during her leave.  We pray for her health and that she will be able to return to her role in the summer.

We are grateful to Marni and to the Community of L'Arche Greater Vancouver, for their willingness to support the Region at this time.
