Born in Halifax to the late Catherine (MacEachern) and John Joseph (Dick) Brady, Cathy lived with her family until her arrival at L’Arche Cape Breton in 1996. Predeceased by her sisters Shirley Adams and Marie Barbour and nephew Ryan MacNeil, Cathy is lovingly mourned by her sister Pat (Lonnie MacNeil), her brothers Rick (Gloria) and Brian (Maura), special nephew Kevin, many other nieces and nephews, and the entire community of L’Arche Cape Breton.
Cathy was a sweetheart, plain and simple. Fiercely independent, yet filled with tenderness, she appreciated a good cup of tea, a haircut, and a piece of pie with ice cream. She was a graceful dancer and a joyful singer. She brought beauty into the lives of all she met.
